IQ Resource Group is hiring for experienced Carpenter/Handyman to work in and around the Metro area!
Location: Brooklyn Center/Twin Cities area
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Morning shift
Compensation: $30.00 an hour!

The Carpenter inspects rot and/or damage that needs repair on the exterior of the home as well as the interior and then executes the necessary demolition and repair of each area. Occasionally our Carpenters are expected to build new parts/sections for the clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimates and Preparation
- Inspect the house for rotted and damaged boards and give an accurate estimate as to how long all demo, material runs, install, and trash runs will take for the completion of the job.
- Prepare the job site to conform to EPA guidelines for LEAD Prep.
- Communicating the Client on the estimate and on T&M upon compilation of the job.
- Managing your schedule with clients each week and communicating with the clients an ETA.
Demo, Material Run, Installation/Repair, and Trash Run
- Safely execute the demolition of all rotted and damaged materials on the house that fall within our scope of work. Properly dispose of all materials coming off the house.
- Identify the material type and amount needed to properly repair the home. Drive to obtain all material needed to complete the job.
- Properly repair all areas identified in the estimate and sealing them with a clean bead of caulk.
- Remove and dispose of any and all trash.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere strictly to all local building codes, safety regulations, and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Properly operate and maintain all hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work effectively with other divisions with the company including the Wash Team, Painting Crews, and other members of the Carpentry Division.
- Report progress and issues to the site supervisor or project manager.
- Mentor and supervise apprentice carpenters or laborers as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Must be comfortable with 24′ ladders.
- Must have own tools, truck and ladder.
- Solid knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods (measuring, cutting, drilling, etc.).
- Expertise in operating a variety of hand and power tools (saws, drills, sanders, routers, levels, etc.).
- Strong basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- High level of communication skills.
