General Purpose of Job:
The Administrative Assistant performs a wide variety of administrative duties to support the operations of the entire anesthesia & critical care department, its department manager and it’s providers. Assist in credentialing, coordination of onboarding for physicians, residents & medical students among other responsibilities

- Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
- Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
- Performs a variety of staff scheduling tasks with providers and residents which include communication of changes and keeping schedule up to date with various forms of communication.
- Assists in collecting material needed for appointments, meetings, conferences, telephone calls, etc.
- Prepares credentialing documentation and attachments.
- Schedules interviews and prepares documentation for Anesthesia Assistants and any new physician hires.
- Answers/screens incoming telephone calls and routes call to appropriate individual.
- Responds to inquiries and requests for services provided by the department’s manager & providers.
- Opens, sorts and distributes incoming mail.
- Manages the scheduling of Anesthesia Conf Room with the entire health system.
- Adheres to the Driscoll Way.
- Prepares and submits reimbursements for the physicians.
- Manages and orders all office supplies and submits service tickets.
- Maintains departmental filing system.
- Possess computer skills for using Word, EPIC, Excel, Power Point, Internet, internal and external email.
- Scheduling Webex and Teams meetings.
Education and/or Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
