Brand Ambassador / Team Member (Part-Time)About the Position
This position is ideal for individuals seeking consistent part-time weekend work. We are looking for dependable team members who are available to work every Saturday, every Sunday, or both on an ongoing basis. Weekend shifts are typically scheduled on Saturday and Sunday mornings, generally beginning between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and lasting approximately 4–5 hours.
This is a field-based position where you will work as part of a coordinated team, typically consisting of four team members led by a Team Lead. Team members independently drive their own vehicles to one or more event locations during each shift, with shifts taking place typically between one and four locations within a relatively small geographic area. This is not a remote, office-based, or independent position.
This position supports a unique community-driven marketing campaign focused on spreading acts of kindness and positivity throughout the San Fernando Valley. The campaign is known for its commitment to making a difference in people’s lives through community events, sponsorships, and unexpected acts of assistance.
Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic, dependable, outgoing, energetic, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Brand Ambassadors/Team Members.
Successful candidates naturally enjoy meeting new people and can confidently and independently initiate conversations with members of the public throughout their shift. The ability to confidently and enthusiastically approach, engage, and converse with members of the public is an essential function of this position and is expected upon hire. Successful team members are upbeat, personable, self-confident, positive, and able to create friendly, authentic interactions throughout the day.
Each shift consists of visiting one or more public locations where you and your teammates represent the campaign through community outreach. Depending on the day’s assignment, locations may include parks, shopping centers, hiking trails, community events, charitable initiatives, and other places where members of the public gather. Typical responsibilities include confidently initiating conversations with members of the public, distributing branded promotional items, encouraging engagement with the campaign and its social media channels, assisting with community service initiatives, and creating positive, memorable interactions that increase awareness of the campaign.
Most shifts involve visiting multiple locations throughout the assigned territory, giving you the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of people in different settings. During a single shift, your team may visit several different public locations, such as neighborhood parks, shopping centers, and other community gathering places. Other shifts may take place entirely at a single community event, charitable initiative, or other organized public event. The variety of locations, activities, and people you meet is one of the things that makes this position unique and rewarding.
Success in this role requires working collaboratively with your Team Lead and fellow team members while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude throughout each shift.
Responsibilities
- Represent the campaign through community outreach at a variety of public locations, including parks, shopping centers, hiking trails, community events, and other places where members of the public gather.
- Proactively approach members of the public and confidently initiate friendly conversations throughout your shift.
- Educate members of the public about the campaign and encourage participation in campaign activities.
- Distribute branded promotional items and other campaign materials as directed.
- Encourage consumers to follow and engage with the campaign’s social media channels by creating memorable, positive consumer interactions.
- Assist with community service or charitable activities associated with the campaign.
- Work closely with your Team Lead and fellow team members to ensure successful execution at each location.
- Independently drive between assigned event locations during the shift.
- Provide observations and feedback to your Team Lead following events.
RequirementsAvailability
- Must be available to work every Saturday, every Sunday, or both on an ongoing basis.
Transportation
- Must possess a valid California driver’s license.
- Must maintain at least the minimum automobile liability insurance required under California law.
- Must have reliable personal transportation.
- Must be able to independently drive to and between multiple event locations during a shift. A typical shift may require travel to as many as four different locations within the assigned territory.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a shift.
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, squat, kneel, and perform other physical activities associated with event setup and execution.
- Ability to lift, carry, move, and transport materials weighing up to 20 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to set up, move, and organize promotional materials, folding tables, signage, coolers, and other event equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to use GPS or navigation applications to travel efficiently between assigned event locations and arrive on time.
Professional Appearance
- Must maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance while working.
- This position has specific appearance requirements, including reporting to work clean-shaven (no beards, mustaches, goatees, stubble, or other similar forms of facial hair).
Dress Code
Applicants must own, or be willing to obtain before beginning work, all of the following:
- Business-casual khaki pants and business-casual khaki knee-length shorts.
- Plain white, low-top, lace-up sneakers.
- Plain black or brown belt.
- White socks.
