N.E.T. & Die is a family-owned, custom machine shop specializing in low- to mid-volume, high-mix manufacturing of medium to large components for a wide range of industries. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Programmer with setup capabilities to join our engineering team. This is an opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, solving problems, and helping improve how work gets done on the shop floor.
What You’ll Do
- Program and set up CNC vertical and horizontal mills, including 3- and 4-axis equipment, and/or CNC lathes with single or dual spindles and live tooling.
- Independently assist machinist to take a part from drawing to final inspection
- Support operators with setups, programming guidance, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
- Oversee multiple machines as needed.
- Machine parts to tight tolerances while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, workholding, programming, and setup issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Use precision measuring equipment to verify part dimensions and conformance to customer requirements.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and help maintain equipment reliability.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area.
- Assist with the implementation of new equipment, tooling, processes, and capabilities.
- Recommend improvements to tooling, workholding, programming, setup methods, and overall manufacturing processes.
What We’re Looking For
- 8 or more years of CNC machining experience in milling, turning, or both.
- Strong CNC programming and setup experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Minimum 5 years experience using CAD/CAM software. N.E.T. & Die currently utilizes Fusion and ESPIRIT.
- Strong team skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with engineers, machinists, quality, and leadership to solve problems and keep work moving.
- Ability to communicate clearly, share knowledge, support less experienced team members, and ask for help when needed.
- A team-first attitude with the ability to take ownership of individual work while contributing to the success of the entire shop.
- Solid shop math and machining fundamentals.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting and collaborating with the team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Availability to work first shift.
