The community's nonprofit hospice seeks an individual to coordinate and provide spiritual services for Hospice patients and their families. As an active member of the Hospice of Dubuque Interdisciplinary Team, this individual will:
- Assess the spiritual needs/distresses of patients/families.
- Develop the spiritual plan of care.
- Provide or arrange for interventions as appropriate.
- Work jointly with another Spiritual Care Coordinator as a liaison to the tri-state religious community.
The Spiritual Care Coordinator requirements:
- Possess excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
- College degree, MDIV preferred.
- Ordained clergy or person with one unit clinical pastoral education and end of life experience preferred.
- Experience in grief counseling and knowledge regarding the spiritual needs of terminally ill patients and their families preferred.
