SUMMARY
As an Optician at Vision Now, you will play a key role in ensuring our patients receive the best eyewear solutions tailored to their needs. Combining technical skills with outstanding customer service, you will assist patients in selecting, fitting, and adjusting eyewear, while educating them about their options and promoting the benefits of clear, comfortable vision.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES
Eyewear Consultation:
· Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style preferences.
Lens Customization:
· Provide recommendations on lens options, including coatings, tints, and features, to enhance vision quality and meet specific requirements.
Fitting and Adjustment:
· Ensure glasses fit comfortably and accurately by taking precise measurements, adjusting frames, and making necessary modifications.
Education:
· Educate patients on proper care and use of eyewear and answer questions about prescriptions and products.
Technical Expertise:
· Read and interpret optical prescriptions, ensuring correct lens fabrication and compatibility with chosen frames.
Customer Service:
· Build a rapport with patients by delivering friendly, professional, and empathetic service, addressing their concerns and preferences.
Sales Support:
· Promote and sell optical products, including frames, lenses, and accessories, to meet both patient needs and practice goals.
Team Collaboration:
· Work closely with optometrists and support staff to ensure a seamless patient experience and maintain an organized workflow.
· Will be cross trained in technician and front desk duties.
Administrative Tasks:
· Maintain patient records, manage inventory, and ensure the optical area is clean, organized, and stocked with high-quality products.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Requires standing, sitting, driving, and walking for prolonged periods of time.
· Occasionally lift and carry items up to twenty-five pounds.
· Able to remain calm and professional regardless of workload or time constraints.
· Proficient in use of English language both in written and verbal communication.
· Must be able to keep electronic information organized and utilize effective time management skills.
· Requires frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.

QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma required.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Colorado driver’s license and access to reliable transportation during work hours.
· Current automobile insurance.
· Spanish language skills preferred.
· Previous experience as an Optician or in a similar role is preferred but not required (on-the-job training available).
· Certification as a Licensed Dispensing Optician (LDO) or equivalent (preferred).
· Strong understanding of optical products, prescriptions, and fitting techniques.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· A keen eye for detail and a commitment to precision.
· Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction.
· Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
SALARY RANGE
· $17.00-$22.00 Hourly
