Overview:
Waypoint is adding a metal fabricator to our Team. The ideal candidate would have experience building frames and cabinets for use in electrical and non-electrical signs. Strong knowledge of aluminum prep and welding plus the ability to read shop drawings is needed.
Duties:
- Fabrication of structures/frames and cabinets for both illuminated and non-illuminated signs.
- Cut, grind, weld, epoxy needed materials as detailed in drawings.
- Provide input to the design department on construction methods and construction details.
- Assist other departments as needed.- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to determine job requirements
- Use of company ERP System – SquareCoil
- Proper use of Hand and Power tools
- Ensure tools and equipment are functioning properly.
- Keep workspace clean and organized.
- Participate in shop safety training.
Skills:
- Experience in machining metal parts to precise measurements
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Operate power tools and machinery such as saws, grinders, and drills
- Fabricate metal parts using various techniques including welding, cutting, bending, and assembling
- Task and time oriented
- Able to work independently
Details of Employment
- This is a full-time, hourly position.
- Seventy-five percent Paid Health Care Benefits available after 90 days of employment (Regence)
- 1 hour of PTO is accrued per every 40 hours of work.
