Position Overview: Are you a motivated and detail-oriented call center professional with a passion for healthcare? At Ortele Health, you'll play a key role in connecting patients with essential services, including scheduling appointments, educating them on our preventative care programs, and ensuring they get the care they need. Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to assist patients with scheduling telehealth appointments and addressing general inquiries
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with patients in a professional, compassionate, and efficient manner
- Clearly explain healthcare services, preventive care, wellness programs, and telehealth options to patients
- Support outreach campaigns via phone, email, and SMS to increase engagement and patient participation
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and data in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care, follow-up services, and ensure continuity of care
What We’re Looking For
- Certified Medical Assistant with a strong clinical foundation and excellent patient communication skills
- Exceptional phone presence and customer service skills, with the ability to handle high call volumes while remaining professional and empathetic
- Preferred: Experience in a healthcare-related call center or high-volume customer service environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain healthcare services in clear, patient-friendly terms
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with technology, including CRM, EMR/EHR, and telehealth platforms
- Knowledge of insurance processes and prior healthcare experience strongly valued
Requirements
- Current Medical Assistant certification in the State of Michigan
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program
- Maintain active credentials in accordance with certifying body requirements
- Copy of current certification prior to expiration date
- Demonstrated knowledge of EHR systems and ability to work effectively in a remote environment
