Position Summary
Providence is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house therapy team! New-Grad Friendly!
The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and enhance their overall physical function.
Responsibilities

Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities as directed.

Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.

Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.

Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with facility policies.

Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications

Associate's degree in physical therapy Assisting or a related field from an accredited program.

Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of human physiology.

Proficiency in providing patient care with a focus on rehabilitation techniques.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
