We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Refuse Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting and transporting waste and recyclables from residential and commercial properties. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
**Duties:**
- Collect and transport waste and recyclables from designated areas
- Operate a vehicle following designated routes and schedules
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
- Engage with customers to ensure their needs are met and provide exceptional customer service
- Drive a vehicle safely and responsibly, with a valid driver's license
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including those related to hazardous materials
- Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and adapting to changing conditions
- Perform tasks in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Experience operating a vehicle
- Experience with customer service
- Ability to sometimes lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
