Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Manage cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, processing orders efficiently while maintaining accountability.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to promote sales and elevate guest satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels of spirits, beer, wine, mixers, and garnishes; assist with stock replenishment as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless food and beverage service during busy periods or special events such as banquets or catering functions.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption to ensure safety.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a bartender in fine dining or hospitality industry settings is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and beverage recipe development.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through excellent time management skills in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions accurately.
- Experience serving guests in restaurant or banquet settings; catering experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to create positive interactions with diverse clientele.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and special event days; hospitality industry experience is essential for success.
