Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Administrator with RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) experience in a private practice general dentistry setting to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage administrative tasks while providing support in clinical operations, ensuring smooth daily workflow. The position requires familiarity with dental terminology, and clinical procedures, particularly in cosmetic and general dentistry settings.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient appointments, scheduling, and rescheduling using Eaglesoft software.
- Discussing treatment plans including financial obligations.
- Educating patients on treatment needs leaving patients question free and happy.
- Prepare and update with detailed patient charts notes.
- Laboratory communication on patient case due dates.
- Support clinical staff with chairside assisting when needed.
- Support administrative team members by answering phones, checking email, voice mail, text messages as needed.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless integration of clinical and administrative functions.
- Greets/welcomes patients in the practice like a guest in your home.
Skills
- Proven experience with Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control standards
- Familiarity with dental terminology related to prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry
- Experience with chairside assisting including X-ray procedures.
- Ability to perform detailed notes on patients charts.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing all aspects of patient care.
- Effective communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures and infection prevention techniques
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technology such as 3D scanners or advanced imaging equipment
