American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 3+ years of experience at a Level 1 trauma, tertiary teaching hospital for a night shift travel position in Portland, ME.

Night shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
26-week contract
-
Works across the entire facility as part of a team of 14–16 RRTs
-
Patient ratios: 1:25 for acute care, 1:8 for critical care
-
Float required across adult acute care, adult critical care, NICU, PICU, pediatric acute care, and the ED
-
On-call requirement: 2 hours for the oncoming shift
-
Ventilators used include Dräger V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, and Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm
-
EMR: Epic (experience required)

Scrubs are provided or flexible

RRT credential required

Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience

Experience at a tertiary, academic teaching hospital required

Level 1 trauma center experience required
-
BLS required; ACLS preferred; NRP required for NICU assignments

NICU/PICU and cardiothoracic experience preferred

Driver's license required for consideration

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

License required if applicable

Provides respiratory therapy services across a full acute and critical care facility, including adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations

Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility in Maine or New Hampshire are considered local and may be subject to a different pay rate; local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions

Float policy includes floating between facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed
-
Personal electronic devices including AirPods, laptops, and cell phones are not permitted on the unit
