Maintenance Director
Job Summary:
As a key member of our team at Bellbrook Health and Rehab, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Director to oversee the day-to-day activities of our Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the facility remains in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while also providing a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. Key Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs, and activities
Ensure facility compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for Life Safety Code compliance
Review department policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions and make recommendations to the Assistant Administrator/Administrator
Prepare operating and staffing budgets for maintenance and monitor monthly
Ensure maintenance staff are properly trained on safety policies and procedures and monitor compliance
Plan, direct, and supervise both preventative and unplanned maintenance and repair activities in the facility
Develop and implement preventive maintenance tasks, document instructions and procedures, and schedule department work hours
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum three (3) years' experience in a supervisory capacity, in a maintenance/plant related position
Licensed in accordance with applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.
Previous experience as a Maintenance Director with a Skilled Nursing Facility, or Long Term Care Facility preferred
Working understanding of electrical systems, HVAC systems, and various mechanical and architectural systems
Valid driver's license
