Job Summary
Texas Tom’s Restaurant is looking for a reliable, hardworking Fry Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in preparing quality food while keeping the kitchen clean and organized.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fried menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
- Ensure food is cooked properly and served in a timely manner.
- Prep ingredients before each shift.
- Stock fry station and keep supplies organized throughout the day.
- Clean fryers, equipment, and workstations.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Assist with general kitchen cleaning, including dishes and floors when needed.
- Work as a team to maintain a smooth kitchen operation.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or fry cook experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends if needed.

- Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and safety standards, utilizing proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Support food service operations by serving meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Follow food safety management protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment
- Contribute to catering events by preparing dishes in accordance with event specifications and presentation standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to safety standards in production and food handling procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery, fostering a positive work atmosphere
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary or culinary roles within healthcare, restaurant, or food industry settings is highly desirable
- Proven skills in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Familiarity with safety standards related to food handling, sanitation, and kitchen operations
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services preferred
- Strong knife skills, slicing techniques, and knowledge of food safety management practices
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in dietary aide roles or kitchen environments will be considered an asset
