The Learning Lodge is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and nurturing Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team!
We are looking for someone who loves working with young children and is passionate about creating a fun, safe, and engaging classroom environment where children can learn and grow.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a preschool classroom while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lessons that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Follow the center's curriculum and classroom expectations while providing hands-on learning experiences.
- Build positive relationships with children and help them develop confidence, independence, and appropriate classroom behaviors.
- Maintain a consistent classroom routine and provide clear expectations and positive behavior guidance.
- Communicate professionally and regularly with parents regarding their child's day, development, and classroom experiences.
- Complete daily reports, lesson plans, classroom documentation, and other required paperwork.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with assistant teachers and other staff members to maintain appropriate classroom ratios and provide quality care.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, and center events.
- Follow all center policies, state licensing requirements, health and safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Create a classroom environment where children feel loved, supported, encouraged, and excited to learn.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
- Early Childhood Education experience or education-related experience is a plus.
- Must be dependable, responsible, patient, and energetic.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and handle challenging behaviors using positive guidance.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced childcare environment.
- Must be willing to complete all required background checks, fingerprinting, physical/TB screening, and required training.
- A genuine love for children and a passion for early childhood education!
