About the Role
We’re seeking a Fire Alarm Technician with NICET certification to install, program, test, inspect, and service commercial fire alarm and life safety systems. You’ll work on a variety of projects—from tenant improvements to ground-up construction—ensuring code compliance, system reliability, and outstanding customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Install and program fire alarm panels, devices, initiating and notification circuits (conventional and addressable).
- Inspect, test, and maintain systems per NFPA 72 and local AHJ requirements; document findings and corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot and repair system faults, communication issues, and wiring problems efficiently and safely.
- Coordinate with stakeholders—GCs, electricians, AHJs, and end-users—for scheduling, permitting, and inspections.
- Complete accurate documentation: test reports, as-builts/redlines, material lists, and service tickets.
- Follow safety protocols and company quality standards on every job site.
- Provide on-call support on a rotating basis for emergency service.
What You Bring
- NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems (Level I considered with strong experience and a plan to achieve Level II within 6–12 months).
- 2–5+ years of hands-on experience with fire alarm installation, service, and inspections.
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and local codes; familiarity with AHJ processes.
- Proficiency with common addressable platforms (e.g., Notifier, EST/Edwards, Siemens, Gamewell-FCI, Silent Knight, Honeywell, Fire-Lite).
- Ability to read and interpret plans, risers, device layouts, and wiring diagrams; comfortable with as-builts/redlines.
- Competence with low-voltage wiring, conduit, terminations, loop resistance testing, and device addressing.
- Solid troubleshooting skills with multimeters, testers, and programming tools.
- Clear communication and customer service skills; tech-savvy with mobile apps and reporting tools.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to lift 50 lbs and work from ladders/lifts as needed.
- Preferred: Manufacturer certifications, OSHA 10/30, FA-1/02 licenses (where applicable), experience integrating voice evac, mass notification, smoke control, BDA/ERRCS, and monitoring.

Schedule
- Monday–Friday, daytime hours, with overtime opportunities. Rotating on-call for after-hours emergencies.
Pay Range
- Based on experience and certification level; includes overtime eligibility and performance incentives.
