Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests.
- Provide clear explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance services, including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, transmissions, collision repairs, and more.
- Utilize estimating software and computer-aided estimating tools to prepare accurate repair estimates.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance plans that enhance vehicle performance and safety while aligning with customer needs.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services.
- Communicate effectively with clients throughout the service process, updating them on vehicle status and explaining repair procedures in understandable terms.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of service orders and client interactions.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by understanding automotive diagnostics, auto body repair processes, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and other key components.
- Drive customer satisfaction by delivering expert advice on vehicle maintenance schedules and promoting dealership services.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of dealership policies regarding service writing, estimating procedures, and automotive repair standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor within an automotive dealership or repair shop environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on mechanic experience preferred.
- Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally.
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential.
- Dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for continuous learning about automotive repair is essential.

Pay: $62,560.00 - $110,000.00 per year
