Job Overview
We are seeking a Family Court Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will support attorneys in the practice areas of family law, personal injury and criminal defense. Your expertise will help streamline case management, conduct legal research, draft documents, and ensure compliance with procedural laws. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation by organizing and reviewing legal documents using document management systems such as My Case.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Manage case files through filing, data entry, and document review to ensure accuracy and accessibility
- Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and maintaining organized workflows
- Conduct client interviews and gather relevant information to assist attorneys in case development
- Provide administrative support including phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, and general clerical tasks to ensure smooth office operations
Skills
- Strong knowledge of procedural law and familiarity with various practice areas such as family law, estate planning, family law, securities law, and personal injury law.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence;
- Experience with project management tools and procedures to coordinate tasks efficiently within a busy legal environment
- Strong interpersonal skills including interviewing techniques and professional phone etiquette
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, document review, and procedural compliance
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team; demonstrated clerical experience in a law office setting is preferred
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
