Job Objectives: To staff 24-hour hotline, provide for safety and well-being of the clients residing at the safe dwelling as needed including weekend and overnight shifts and provide information, support, and crisis intervention to sexually assaulted victims and/or families while the victim is receiving treatment in an area Emergency Room.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide emergency assistance to women and children residing in safe dwelling.
2. Answer 24-hour hotline, provide information and referrals, and conduct safe dwelling placements.
3. Provide support to residents of safe dwelling.
4. Assist residents with victim’s compensation claims.
5. Complete 40 hour rape crisis training.
6.Respond to area emergency rooms to provide support, crisis intervention and advocacy for sexual assault victims.
7. Provide advocacy with other service providers and accompaniment when necessary.
Confidentiality Agreement: All staff will sign an agreement that the location of the safe dwelling, client information, and staff information is strictly confidential.
Must have NYS Driver’s License and a vehicle.

Must be able to climb stairs
Must be able to lift twenty pounds
Accountability:
Reports directly to Safe Dwelling Manager
Qualifications: Must be at least eighteen years old. Some college and/or experience in a related field preferred.

$2 Shift differential for overnights
