Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our growing team. This position supports the design and specification of commercial office environments from initial concepts through installation while working closely with senior designers, sales professionals, project coordinators, and clients.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone early in their design career to develop their technical, creative, and client-facing skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support client meetings by gathering information, documenting project requirements, and helping to develop creative workplace solutions.
- Assist with the design, presentation, and furniture specifications for projects of varying size and complexity.
- Create space plans, furniture layouts, renderings, and installation drawings using CET/SPEC and related software.
- Assist with project documentation, schedules, research, and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with designers, salespeople, project coordinators, and manufacturers to ensure successful project execution.
- Stay current on workplace trends, commercial furniture products, and design best practices.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design.
- 0–3 years of interior design experience.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, CET Designer, SPEC, or 2020 CAP/Worksheet.
- Understanding of commercial office furniture systems, space planning, and workplace design principles.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Interest in pursuing NCIDQ certification is encouraged.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel periodically between our Pewaukee and Middleton offices, customer locations, and occasional conferences and training events
