Duties
- Perform MRI scans using state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring optimal image quality for diagnostic evaluation
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them accurately to obtain clear images
- Operate supplementary imaging modalities such as CT (Computed Tomography), DEXA scans (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry), and sonography when required
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and prevent contamination
- Ensure adequate inventory of supplies to avoid service interruptions.
- Promptly report and document any equipment issues or malfunctions
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret imaging results and assist in diagnostic assessments
- Document all procedures thoroughly, including patient information, imaging details, and technical notes
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques to continually improve service quality
Requirements
- Certification or licensure as an MRI Technologist from an accredited program
- ARRT (MR) certification or registry eligible required.
- Current BLS certification.
- Proven experience operating MRI equipment with a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to imaging procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation processes, and aseptic techniques
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to follow detailed protocols for safety, quality assurance, and infection control standards
- Competent in administering injections (IV catheter placement and contrast administration under physician supervision).
- Ability to speak in both English and Spanish strongly preferred
