Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to join our dynamic Paint Shop team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating Hi-Lo forklifts, to efficiently load, unload, and move raw and painted parts within the warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and materials handling will ensure smooth distribution operations and accurate order picking. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount.
Duties
- Safely operate forklift trucks, to load and unload shipments
- Conduct routine inspections and perform basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update stock records accurately
- Assist with hanging parts in conveyor, curing painted parts and packaging customer orders efficiently.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate materials handling tasks and optimize warehouse distribution workflows.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety protocols during all operations involving heavy lifting and equipment use
Qualifications
- Experience operating forklifts, and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and weight assessments
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and operating machinery throughout shifts
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving or order picking is highly desirable
