Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care
Location: Newport, OR
Job Type: 13-Week Contract
Shift: Days (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | No Weekends
Pay Rate: $57/hourly
Mandatory Qualifications for this Job
- Active, unrestricted Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) License (Required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- At least 6 months of wound care experience (Required)
- Outpatient wound care clinic experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- Wound Care Certification (WOCN/CWCN or related) preferred
- Experience treating acute and chronic wounds, ostomies, skin breakdown, and continence-related conditions
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic wounds.
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans.
- Provide care for ostomies, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, and skin integrity issues.
- Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, and documentation.
- Educate patients and families on wound prevention and home care.
- Collaborate with physicians, WOC nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC EMR.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards.
- Serve as a wound care resource for nursing staff.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives.
