Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Conduct custodial duties including trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, window washing, and sanitation tasks to uphold high hygiene standards.
- Maintain facilities by performing light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor repairs, and assisting with general upkeep.
- Support industrial cleaning projects or specialized cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests from staff or visitors for cleaning or maintenance assistance
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures.
- Knowledge of proper chemical agent handling and safety protocol adherence to ensure safe working conditions.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and sanitation tools.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions for cleaning routines and safety procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Customer service orientation with a positive attitude toward supporting team members and visitors alike.
