American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with a Maryland RN license and 2+ years of home health experience for a day-shift assignment in the Suburban Maryland service area.

Home Health setting covering Montgomery, Prince George's, Charles, and St. Mary's Counties in Maryland

Clinicians are assigned to a group of zip codes within a county based on staffing needs
-
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
-
No weekend or on-call requirements

Visit-based productivity model requiring an average of 6 points per day, equating to about 30 points per week (approximately 3-6 visits per day)

Float coverage to another zip code within the service area may be requested as needed based on staffing and patient needs

Uses OASIS-E and HCHB Point Care EMR systems

Active Maryland RN license required (compact license not accepted)

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of home health experience required within the last 7 years

Must have completed at least 1 previous travel assignment

Required experience with OASIS-E and Homecare Homebase/Point Care EMR
-
Skills required include admission assessment, medication administration/management, wound care, and IV/central line/port care
-
Must provide two supervisory references, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years

Must have and maintain a reliable personal vehicle with valid licensure and insurance for use during home visits

Orientation is held every Monday

Deliver adult home health nursing care including case management, wound care, IV therapy, and medication administration

May be reassigned to a different zip code within the coverage area based on staffing availability and patient need

Mileage is reimbursed per mile driven from the first patient visit to the last patient visit of the day

No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract

Candidates residing within 60 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower pay rate
-
Nurses with previous employment at this health system must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a travel candidate
-
First-time travelers are not eligible; candidates must have completed at least one previous travel assignment
