Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and professional Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash and credit card payments accurately
- Upsell menu items, including wines and specialty cocktails, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Clear tables and bus tables efficiently to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, and spirits to enhance guest experience
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized work station in accordance with sanitation standards
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries professionally and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles preferred; fine dining or hospitality experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to maximize sales opportunities
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation practices preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality industry
