Overview
Roots Learning Academy is a Christian hybrid homeschool program seeking passionate academic mentors for small groups of students. Assist students in their homeschool education 3 days a week in a supportive, family-centered environment where you have the freedom to build meaningful relationships with the students.
Duties
- Work with small groups of 2-6 students to assist them in their math and reading curriculum.
- Explain directions, teach short lessons (provided), answer questions, and assist students with their work.
- Work in larger groups of 10-15 students to provide hands-on learning activities (provided) for science and social studies classes to mixed age ranges.
- Communicate with parents and other staff on student success, struggles, and behavior.
- Support parents with their homeschooling journey by leading their students to academic success.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching in academic settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
- Preferred teaching certification.
- Experience working with mixed age ranges.

Schedule:
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the school year
- Flexible start time: anytime between 8:30-9:30am
- Flexible end time: anytime between 12:00-4:00pm
