About the Opportunity
As Chief Financial Officer, you will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and oversee the financial health and strategic direction of the organization. You will provide executive leadership for Accounting, Finance, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory Management, Human Resources, and Information Technology while partnering closely with ownership on long-term business strategy.
This position requires a leader who can think strategically while remaining operationally involved. You must be comfortable making difficult decisions, managing multiple priorities, and leading organizational change without sacrificing accuracy or accountability.
What You'll Be Responsible ForExecutive Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy.
- Partner directly with ownership and executive leadership on strategic planning and long-term growth.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and capital planning.
- Evaluate acquisitions, financing opportunities, and business expansion initiatives.
- Present executive-level financial analysis and recommendations.
Financial Operations
- Oversee all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting.
- Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness.
- Lead tax planning and external audit coordination.
Treasury & Cash Flow
- Manage daily cash flow and liquidity.
- Oversee banking relationships, lending facilities, and treasury management.
- Develop short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor borrowing capacity and financial risk.
Profitability & Operational Performance
- Review daily fuel margins and gross profit performance.
- Analyze profitability by customer, branch, product line, and market.
- Develop strategies that improve margins, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
- Partner with operations leaders to drive company-wide financial performance.
Department Leadership
Provide executive leadership and accountability for:
- Accounting

- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Inventory Control & Procurement
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
ERP & Business Systems Leadership
We are specifically looking for someone who has successfully led or played a key leadership role in ERP implementations, conversions, upgrades, or system migrations. Experience improving reporting, integrating business systems, and driving process automation is highly desirable.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA, Master's Degree, CPA, or CMA strongly preferred.
- Minimum 10-15 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- At least 5 years serving as a CFO orVP of Finance, or comparable executive financial leadership role REQUIRED.
- Extensive experience managing accounting, treasury, forecasting, banking relationships, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proven experience leading ERP implementations, conversions, or enterprise system transitions.
- Experience managing organizational change and process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated success leading multiple departments simultaneously.
- Experience partnering directly with business owners or executive leadership.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while maintaining composure, professionalism, and accuracy.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience within one or more of the following industries is strongly preferred:
