American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) position at an oncology cancer hospital, requiring chemo certification and inpatient hematology oncology experience.

Mixed acuity PCU and Med/Surg oncology unit specializing in bone marrow transplantation
-
Patient population includes a wide range of hematologic malignancies and disorders, including ALL, AML, CLL, CML, Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, Aplastic Anemia, Amyloidosis, and Myeloproliferative Disorders

Specialized procedures include autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants, as well as CAR-T therapy

Required skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, chemotherapy administration, blood product administration, central line blood draw and sterile dressing changes, PICC line management, peripheral line care, feeding tube care, and nasal cannula administration

Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)

Shifts are 3x12-hour nights (19:00–07:30); rotating day/night shift option may also be available based on departmental needs

When rotating shifts are assigned, schedule is reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on staffing priorities

Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS certification required

ONS Chemotherapy Certification required

ACLS certification preferred

Minimum 1 year of inpatient Med/Surg and inpatient hematology oncology experience required

Epic EMR experience required

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Former employees of this facility are eligible to apply after a minimum 6-month separation

Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
