The installation technician position is responsible for the assembly and installation of products while providing a safe, efficient and courteous delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help assemble and install products for all customers and manufacturers within a home location or job site
- Properly assemble products per manufacturer's specifications, test for proper functionality and load, unload, and install safely, according to local codes and standards without damage to the product or customer location
- Interact with coworkers/customers in a professional and effective manner to ensure customer needs are met while building a strong working relationship with a positive attitude and resolve issues in a professional and effective manner to ensure a positive outcome
- Understand and adhere to all J.B. Hunt safety requirements and procedures to ensure the safety of self and co-workers and to ensure the job site is safe for product installation
The expected starting salary for this position is between $19.70 - $20.65 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 18+ years of age
- Customer service skills
- Ability across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (75% during busy peak season - out of state, and overnight stays)
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years experience in installing appliances, manual or physical labor, construction site preferred, and/or military equivalent experience
- Possess a valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record that meets J.B. Hunt standards
- Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move product up to 100 pounds or greater)
- Ability to wear appropriate work attire (bump cap, footwear-steel toed shoes, gloves, safety vest)
- Experience in material handling
- Experience installing large, bulky equipment
- Experience utilizing hand and power tools
