Overview
We are hiring responsible individual(s) to perform office work at bonded warehouse.
Shift varies (Hours of Operation from 6am to 2am)
Job Function
- Import Air Freight Release or Export Freight Acceptance.
- Prepare, analyze, and/or submit documentation to the appropriate parties (U.S. Customs, agents, clients) in order to ensure they are in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to customs and transportation.
- Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems which could delay the timely release or movement of freight.
- Pre-alerts - receive and respond as needed.
- Complete accurate data input or corrections into computer files.
- Track and communicate all delays, damages, problems and work to resolve customer issues.
- Employee may require to work overtime, weekend and holiday hours, depending on duty schedule.
- Interact with customers, internal staff/departments and management of all levels.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma and/or GED required.
- 0-2 years’ transportation industry experience in export / import operations
- Previous work experience in TSA, ITAR and Dangerous Goods regulations, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Fluent English
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced working environment
- High attention to detail and strong organizing skills
- Drivers License
