Financial & Insurance Coordinator
Starting at $18.00/hour
Higher compensation available based on experience and qualifications.
Position Summary
Freels Orthodontics is seeking a friendly, organized, and highly motivated Financial & Insurance Coordinator to join our growing team.
This position plays a vital role in the success of our practice by helping patients understand their financial options, processing insurance claims, maintaining accurate accounts, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience from beginning to end.

What You'll Do
Insurance & Accounts
- Submit and monitor orthodontic insurance claims.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Follow up on outstanding insurance claims.
- Resolve insurance denials and claim discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate insurance documentation.
- Monitor insurance aging reports.
- Process insurance payments and adjustments.
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding patient benefits.
Financial Coordination
- Explain financial arrangements and payment options to patients and parents.
- Collect patient payments accurately and professionally.
- Assist with payment plans and account questions.
- Review patient balances and maintain accurate financial records.
- Help maintain healthy accounts receivable.
Patient Experience
- Provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
- Answer patient questions regarding insurance, billing, and payments.
- Communicate with empathy and professionalism.
- Help create a welcoming experience for every family.
Team Support
- Work closely with Treatment Coordinators, Scheduling Coordinators, and Clinical Team members.
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Assist with additional administrative projects as needed.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented office culture.

- Dental or orthodontic office experience.
- Dental insurance experience.
- Insurance claim processing experience.
- Accounts receivable or collections experience.
- Experience discussing financial arrangements.
- Familiarity with orthodontic practice management software (Ortho2 Edge is a plus).
