Valtir is hiring a Safety Admin City, Alabama! Starting pay $19 - $21 per hour based on experience and knowledge.
Under the direction of the the Safety Manager Safety Admin will perform daily safety functions as assigned.
What You'll Do:

Perform daily employee spot audits and monthly housekeeping audits

Update and maintain training records in database
-
Collect suggestions and record on the suggestion form
-
Scan toolbox talk topics into portal
-
Update safety training Matrix
-
Transport employees to clinic as needed
-
Conduct environmental sampling and prepare reports
-
Serve as backup for safety training classes
-
Provide proficiency training for forklifts, sky jacks, electric pallet jacks, cranes, etc.

Assist with the implementation of new safety initiatives as directed
-
Assist with suggestion projects as directed
-
Perform daily shop floor safety walks
-
Complete training to become a first respond
What You'll Need:
High school graduate or equivalent is required.
Minimum of two years experience in safety in a production manufacturing environment highly desirable
Microsoft Word and Excel experience required
Must have the ability to:
-
Communicate using verbal and/or written instructions and be comfortable with public speaking

Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, bills of material
-
Perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide)

Use the basic functions of a computer with good keyboard skills
-
Work schedules shift hours, including overtime as required

Comprehend hazardous material warning labels and instructions, and plant safety rules

Must be able to read a tape measure
Must use all required safety equipment
