Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Concrete Finisher to join our concrete team. The ideal candidate will have experience placing, finishing, and repairing concrete surfaces for commercial, residential, or roadway projects. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Place, level, and finish concrete surfaces including sidewalks, curbs, slabs, foundations, and paving projects.
- Operate hand and power tools such as screeds, floats, trowels, and saws.
- Form, pour, and finish concrete according to project specifications.
- Apply curing compounds and surface treatments as required.
- Repair and patch existing concrete structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and grade stakes.
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Work effectively with foremen, operators, and laborers to complete projects on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of concrete finishing experience.
- Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, and curing methods.
- Experience with various job site hand tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation to and from company yard or job sites.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor as needed
- Adherent and commitment to site and operational safety
Qualifications, Skills, & Competencies
- Previous construction or site work experience preferred but not required; willing to train the right applicant
- Previous experience and understanding of grades and grade stakes a plus
- Previous experience in underground utility installation a plus
- Strong work ethic and reliability
