About La Rosa
La Rosa Arts Center is a live music venue, restaurant, and gathering place located in the heart of Tucson. Housed in the beautifully restored Benedictine church, La Rosa is a place where music, art, and community come together. We are committed to creating an experience where guests feel welcomed, safe, and excited to return.
Position Summary
Door Staff play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and well-run experience for everyone who walks through La Rosa's doors. This is a hands-on security and hospitality position responsible for checking IDs, monitoring guest behavior, enforcing venue policies, identifying potential safety concerns, and helping de-escalate situations when needed.
Our approach to security is friendly and approachable. Door Staff should be comfortable welcoming guests and answering questions while also being confident stepping in when a situation requires attention. This includes refusing entry, asking guests to leave or assisting with an 86 when appropriate, and immediately involving the Security Lead or management when additional support is needed.
This is also a venue operations role. Everyone pitches in. Door Staff may help clear tables, pick up glassware and trash, move chairs, assist with parking, maintain guest areas, and support setup and breakdown throughout an event.
