Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Server/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions and assisting with product demonstrations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash and credit transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist in merchandising products and maintaining an organized display area.
- Conduct product demos to enhance customer engagement and promote sales.
- Upsell additional products or services based on customer needs and preferences.
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency in basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Experience with POS systems is highly desirable.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour
