This position will be located in the Division of Administrative Support’s Human Resources Program at the Lewis & Clark State Office Building, 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
- Process requests for Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Parental Leave, Long Term Disability (LTD), Temporary Modified Duty (TMD), and Shareleave.
- Manage requests for accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act (ADAAA).
- Provides training for FMLA, Parental Leave, LTD, TMD and ADAAA.
- Responsible for conducting impartial investigations into civil rights and workplace concerns ensuring compliance with department policies and applicable laws.
- Prepare investigative reports.
- Address highly sensitive and complex planning and decision-making matters.
- Provide guidance to management on employee performance and attendance issues
- Regular statewide travel and occasional overnight travel required.
- Protest applicable unemployment claims.
- Assists with the creation of metrics and analytics, collecting and analyzing data related to the Human Resources Program.

- HR professionals need a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance, protect employees and employers, and maintain a fair and legal workplace.
Equivalent to those typically gained by:
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Willingness to learn statistical software and data visualization software (Qualtrics, Tableau).
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
