Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, including sales management, inventory control, and cash handling to ensure smooth business flow.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise staff members, including hiring, training, employee orientation, and performance evaluations.
- Manage scheduling shifts effectively to meet business needs while maintaining optimal staffing levels.
- Implement merchandising strategies and pricing policies to maximize sales opportunities and enhance store presentation.
- Conduct recruiting efforts through interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees to build a high-performing team.
- Handle purchasing, POS (Point of Sale) systems, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and budgeting activities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries via phone etiquette and in-person interactions.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales growth.
- Monitor inventory levels through inventory management systems; oversee stocking, stock rotation, and loss prevention measures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, manage cash handling procedures, and prepare shift reports for operational transparency.
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong background in retail math, sales management, pricing strategies, and merchandising techniques.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee training & development, team leadership, and communication.
- Experience with inventory management systems, POS technology, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience is preferred; familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus.
