CNC Machine Operator / Steel Fabrication Equipment Operator

Penn Services is seeking motivated individuals to operate and learn a variety of steel fabrication equipment used to produce structural steel and miscellaneous metal products.
Whether you're an experienced machine operator or someone with mechanical aptitude looking to build a career in steel fabrication, we want to hear from you. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Our fabrication shop utilizes modern equipment including:
- Peddinghaus CNC Saw
- Bend-Tech Dragon CNC Coping System
- EMI Works ACPC Plate Processing Equipment
- Torchmate CNC Plasma Table
This position offers the opportunity to develop skills across multiple machines rather than being limited to a single operation.
What You'll Do
- Operate CNC and automated fabrication equipment
- Load, unload, and stage steel materials
- Read production paperwork, shop drawings, and cut lists
- Verify dimensions and quality of finished parts
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
- Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks
- Safely operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment
- Work with fabrication, welding, and production teams to meet project schedules
Experience We Value
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- CNC saws
- Plasma cutting systems
- Plate processing equipment
- Structural steel fabrication
- Material handling equipment
- Overhead cranes
- Forklifts
- Manufacturing or production environments
No experience with our specific equipment? That's okay.
If you're mechanically inclined, dependable, willing to learn, and take pride in your work, we're willing to train the right person.
