If you have a passion for the automotive or machining industries we would love you to join our team! We are looking to add someone to our Crankshaft Grinding Department.
Job Qualifications:
- A passion to work in the automotive field.
- Engine knowledge
- Desired skills to have include reading micrometers, operating manual crankshaft grinders, welding machines, and hand tools. Prior experience with crankshaft grinders, or other precision stone grinders desired.
- Job will involve a basic knowledge of math; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions. Mechanical ability will be useful. Looking for a candidate that is comfortable with these abilities.
- Automotive machining is a big plus. The machines we operate are all manual and for custom work, therefore prior CNC experience, especially in the production realm won't directly translate over. If you are interesting in changing fields from CNC to automotive machining, feel free to contact us.
- One shift available: 8:00am-5:00pm; Monday though Thursday. Friday 8:00am to 2:30pm.
- Must be in the Fort Wayne metro area. (Allen County or surrounding counties) If applying from out of local area please include your situation that will allow for your working for us.
Job responsibilities:
- Includes every step in remanufacturing crankshafts. Cleaning, measuring, checking straightness, crack inspection, grinding, polishing, and welding crankshafts. As experience is gained potentially learning more throughout the business in other aspects of engine machining. Work will include a variety of industrial, agricultural, automotive, off-road, and marine applications.
- Must be able to follow directions initially with an expectation to work semi-independently once experienced. Must work well with others. Must be organized and driven.
- Will be expected to work in conjunction with other employees and departments to finish jobs as needed for proper flow and to meet our customer's demands.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
