Job Summary
The Crane Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and inspecting complex hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems on a wide range of crane equipment. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong diagnostic skills, and hands‑on experience with all‑terrain cranes. The position supports safe, reliable crane operations by ensuring equipment meets manufacturer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize diagnostic software and repair advanced mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on cranes and related heavy equipment
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards
- Troubleshoot and repair pin and latch boom systems, including boom extension and retraction components
- Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to diagnose issues and perform accurate repairs
- Remove, rebuild, and install boom hoist and telescopic cylinders
- Service and support all‑terrain cranes, including steering, suspension, and drivetrain components
- Diagnose, adjust, and repair all‑wheel steering systems, including electronic and hydraulic controls
- Conduct functional testing and calibration following repairs to ensure operational readiness
- Document maintenance and repair activities accurately in maintenance management systems
- Support field operations with on‑site diagnostics and emergency repairs as needed
- Comply with all EHS, OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies
- Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and management to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability
Qualifications

· Advanced understanding of hydraulic systems, electrical controls, engines, and mechanical assemblies

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred
- 5+ years of hands‑on crane or heavy equipment mechanic experience, with advanced diagnostic responsibility
- Demonstrated experience working on pin & latch boom systems
- Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- All‑terrain crane experience required
- Strong working knowledge of all‑wheel steering systems
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- · Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or ability to obtain
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.

Pay: $37.00 - $43.00 per hour
