JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you passionate about supporting families through the transformative journey of postpartum care? Do you have a calling to empower and nurture new parents during one of the most significant times in their lives?
Who are we looking for?
- Compassionate and non-judgmental people who have a passion for supporting families.
- Dedicated doulas with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Doulas with a passion for ongoing professional development and education.
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home support to new families during the postpartum period.
- Assist with newborn care, including feeding, diapering, and soothing techniques.
- Offer guidance on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and baby care.
- Perform light household tasks to help families adjust to their new routine.
- Provide emotional support and resources for postpartum mental health.
- Conduct postpartum visits to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Required Professional Qualifications:
- Certification as a Postpartum Doula, OR
- Certification as a Labor Doula + willingness to take available Nurture Postpartum Doula Training
- Nurture will evaluate your previous training and experience to determine qualification as a Nurture Postpartum Doula
- Need Training? Great! Let us know and we can train you if you are the right fit
License certification
Certified Doula or proven work experience in the perineal space or in women’s health and willingness to become certified. Day and nights are required.
Pay Structure
- Competitive pay rate based on training, day or night work & advanced degrees/capabilities, ranging from $20-$30 for Nurture Qualified applicants
- No fees. Period.
Scheduling and Booking
- Flexible part-time positions are available, usually 10-30 hours per week depending on booking demand
- We value flexibility and will work with you to determine a schedule that aligns with your availability and the needs of Nurture.
- Access to a user-friendly app for managing appointments.
