Duties
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information or demonstrations as needed
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an organized and attractive store layout
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties responsibly and securely
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone or in person
- Support inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and product demos to engage shoppers effectively
Requirements
- Previous experience with POS systems and cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment is a plus
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure clear interactions with customers and team members
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for retail math and cash handling tasks
- Experience in grocery stores or retail sales environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and upselling techniques is beneficial
- Friendly demeanor with excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences
