Front Desk Receptionist

Position Summary:
UFURIA is seeking a polished, friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our valued clients and their pets. This role is central to the UFURIA experience. Our clients are loyal and discerning; they expect warmth, competence, accuracy, professionalism, and genuine care.
The front desk is not simply a phone-answering position. It is a client care, scheduling, communication, and operations coordination role. The right candidate must be able to handle a busy environment, communicate clearly, manage details, and make clients feel confident that their pets are in excellent hands.
UFURIA's services include boarding, daycare, grooming, retail, and pet sitting, and the facility operates with structured policies for daycare evaluations, vaccination records, boarding check-ins/check-outs, health requirements, and guest safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients and pets warmly and professionally.
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information about UFURIA's services, policies, pricing, availability, and procedures.
- Schedule daycare evaluations, boarding reservations, grooming/bathing services, and other appointments.
- Process check-ins and check-outs for daycare, boarding, grooming, and retail purchases.
- Review and maintain client records, pet profiles, vaccination records, feeding instructions, medication notes, behavior notes, and special care requests.
- Communicate clearly with boarding, daycare, grooming, and management staff regarding client instructions and pet needs.
- Handle client questions, concerns, changes, cancellations, and special requests with professionalism and good judgment.
- Help maintain an organized, clean, welcoming lobby and retail/front desk area.
- Process payments accurately and follow company policies for deposits, cancellations, late check-outs, and other charges.
- Educate clients on UFURIA's procedures, including daycare evaluation requirements, vaccination requirements, boarding check-in/check-out times, and health/safety policies.
- Help protect the safety and comfort of pets by ensuring records and instructions are complete and accurate.
- Represent UFURIA's brand with warmth, confidence, and professionalism at all times.

- Comfortable using computers, phones, scheduling systems, payment systems, email, and client records.
- Mature, dependable, and able to use good judgment.
- Interested in being part of a long-standing, respected pet care business, not just looking for a temporary front desk job.
Requirements
- Prior receptionist, customer service, veterinary, grooming, pet care, hospitality, or scheduling experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Must be comfortable around dogs and pets in a busy facility environment.
- Must be able to learn and explain UFURIA's services, policies, and procedures accurately.
- Must be organized, reliable, professional, and detail-oriented.
- Must be available for some weekends, holidays, and peak pet care periods as needed.
- Must be able to handle sensitive client conversations with tact and professionalism.
