Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect privacy.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking.
- Support medication administration and help implement personalized care plans under supervision or as trained.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, especially for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory-related conditions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
- Document patient progress, update care records diligently, and coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings.

- Fingerprint level 1 clearance
- Pass background check
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications if not already held.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dementia, or hospice needs is highly valued.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for caregiving duties.
