PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Provide internal and external support for the processing of wire transactions in a timely, highly accurate and efficient manner, while following loss mitigation procedures for all wire processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position must effectively carry out the essential duties of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates the core values of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union in a positive manner. The duties identified below are the essential functions of the position. Other duties may be assigned.
- Initiate, verify, and release outgoing wire transfer requests from internal partners and external members.
- Analyze and process incoming wire transfer requests in an accurate and timely manner.
- Conducts calls to customers to verify wiring instructions when necessary.
- Reviews and takes appropriate action on OFAC exceptions.
- Perform various daily functions to monitor reports and complete maintenance requests.
- Research and respond to any wire related inquiries received from branches, internal departments, and other financial institutions.
- Provides excellent customer service, error resolution, risk mitigation and general support to internal and external individuals for all wire related inquiries.
- Monitor wire transfer requests for suspicious or fraudulent issues and inform management of any identified suspicious activity to ensure immediate action.
- Monitor the Bill Pay Master Site to approve new users or changes to existing users, as well as, responding to fraud alerts.
- Cross train in other areas of Electronic Services (ACH Processing, Share Draft Processing, and Card Services) to be able to assist or provide back-up as needed.
- Assist in regulatory and policy compliance requirements, which would include those efforts in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, and other compliance related policies.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Post-Secondary Education, such as an Associate Degree is preferred.
Individual should have 6-12 months related experience and/or training.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to members, potential members and other partners of the organization. Bilingual is a plus.
A qualified individual must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Also required is the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to use computer software and operate all standard office machinery such as telephone, computer, printers, scanners, fax machine, and photocopier. Must be fully proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, as well as the ability to learn and comprehend other computer software required to perform the job functions.
