Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Support residents with medication administration
- Implement specialized care plans for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to foster mental and emotional well-being
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident spaces and maintaining a hygienic environment
- Use manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury
- Drive residents to appointments or community outings when required, ensuring safety during transportation
- Respond promptly to emergencies with first aid or CPR when necessary, adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each resident’s needs

- Familiarity with assisting residents with ADLs, medication administration, and behavior management strategies for dementia or memory care patients
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment; capable of heavy lifting when required
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a group home or community setting
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail
