Position Overview:
We’re seeking an enthusiastic chef to prepare daily breakfast and lunch for 30 campers and 5 staff. The chef will follow a pre-set menu, maintain a clean and safe kitchen, and play a vital role in our camp community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage a breakfast buffet each morning (cereal, muffins, bagels, toast, yogurt, and fresh fruit)
- Prep, cook, and serve lunch daily per the pre-set menu using exact measurements and portion sizes
- Maintain kitchen and dining room cleanliness and food safety standards
- Attend mandatory training on July 15 and/or 16th. (up to 3 hours each day for 2 days or up to 6 hours on one of the days)
- After lunch is served, follow our kitchen and dining room cleaning checklist.
Qualifications:
- Prior kitchen or chef experience (camp, school, or group setting preferred)
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Knowledge of food safety/sanitation
- Ability to work independently
- Clean background check required
