Healthcare Business Development & Community Outreach Intern
Towson Integrative Health is seeking a motivated and professional intern interested in healthcare, business development, relationship building, marketing, communications, and community outreach.
This internship provides hands-on experience working directly with a growing healthcare practice that offers chiropractic care, physical therapy, and wellness services. The selected candidate will help develop and strengthen relationships with local businesses, healthcare providers, fitness professionals, attorneys, community organizations, and other collaborative partners.
This internship is ideal for students interested in healthcare, business development, marketing, sales, communications, healthcare administration, entrepreneurship, or those considering future careers in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Research potential referral and collaborative partners within the local community
- Assist with outreach through phone calls, emails, social media, and networking initiatives
- Track communications, outreach efforts, and relationship-building activities using spreadsheets and CRM systems
- Help coordinate networking opportunities, community events, and partnership initiatives
- Follow up with prospective partners and maintain ongoing communication
- Assist with marketing and business development projects as assigned
- Provide administrative support related to outreach and relationship management
- Participate in strategy meetings and training sessions
- Help identify opportunities to expand community awareness and referral relationships
- Assist with video production, content creation, podcast recordings, and promotional initiatives when applicable
Requirements
- Ambitious and motivated undergraduate student interested in business, marketing, healthcare administration, communications, entrepreneurship, or related fields
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional phone etiquette
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
- Professional and positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
- Customer service, sales, or networking experience
- Experience with social media platforms
- Interest in healthcare, wellness, chiropractic, or physical therapy
